TROUT OF BURMA
Native to Asia: India and Irrawaddy in Myanmar , the Mekong, Chao Phraya, Salween basin and northern Malaya.
Although trout called burma,It has nothing to do with the family Salmonidae; It belongs to the order of cypriniforms.
Does not reach large sizes usually not usually move from 30 cm and can weigh 1 kg.
Lives in the shadow areas and muddy bottoms stream flows in depth. Adults are usually found in cleaner waters in moderate currents and fast, minors in backwaters downstream .
Rivers are in medium and large size, flooded fields and mountain streams . The diet consists of insects and small fish.
Treaty as one of the most delicious fish in Nepal.
