snook (Centropomus undecimalis) It is a species of fish of the family Centropomidae Perciformes order. This species is native to the coastal waters of the western Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea, From South Florida and Texas to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.

One of the biggest snook, C. undecimalis grows to a maximum length of 140 cm (4 feet and 7 inches) and a maximum weight recorded 24 kg (54 pounds).

It has a color unremarkable except for a distinctive black,the line may have fins lateral.También bright yellow pelvic and caudal,especially during spawning.

They are carnivores,With an economy dominated by small fish and crustaceans such as shrimp diet, Y, sometimes cangrejos.Los Róbalos are actually one of the fish that change sex during their lifetime.

Considered an excellent food fish, snook fishing commercially and raised in aquaculture but is not available for sale in the US. It is also appreciated as sport fishing,He is known for his fighting ability.
